There was a sense of inevitability about the Steelers managing to escape with another tight win when they got the ball back with two minutes left and needing three to tie the game, but their luck finally ran out.
Ben Roethlisberger had been struggling all evening as pass after pass was batted out of the sky by Washington’s defensive front, and one finally fell their way as Jon Bostic came up with the pick to ensure the Steelers would finally lose a game:

Pittsburgh will point to an officiating mix up at the end of the first half which allowed Washington to kick a field goal, but they still went into the half ahead and only have some sloppy receiver play to blame here.
