Daniel Jones is one of the toughest QB’s to assess in the NFL just now, because every moment of genius and quality is always followed by something hapless.
His long run against the Eagles last month was the perfect example, especially when we had so much time to take in what was happening, so you automatically registered the TD in your head as he ran up the field.
The eventual result was Jones losing his footing and stacking it before he could reach the end zone – something that left his own teammates laughing on the touchline.
He managed to shake that turf monster this time round, as he ran in for a TD as part of the Giants win over the Eagles:
There goes Daniel Jones!
Untouched for a 34-yard TD run. #TogetherBlue

There was a determination to liken Jones to Eli when he first broke through because of some similarities, but he’s starting to show that he’s much more effective as a rusher instead of simply staying in the pocket.
